Our Story
As we looked around for a preschool, we saw students screaming not to go to school. This felt wrong. As educators trained at Harvard and Columbia, we thought we could offer a solution. The problem wasn’t fancy infrastructure, gadgets or sprawling spaces. The problem was at the core- the teacher, the student, the curriculum and the relationship built across the three. This is where we chose to invest our attention.
Every decision we make is guided by a simple question:
“Would this make children run to school with beaming smiles and twinkling eyes?”

Discovery-Based Curriculum:
We built a proprietary curriculum based on best practices from around the world, drawing on our learnings from Harvard and Columbia, and the principles of India’s National Education Policy (NEP). Our children learn to discover themselves and the world around them through exploration, questions and hands-on experiences

Small Class Sizes: At this age, every child is different from the next. We believe young children thrive when educators truly know them. This cannot happen when we have 20-30 students packed into a single classroom. We take very few students each year, but we pay close attention to building what makes them unique.

Playgroup to UKG with Daycare till 7 pm:
It is important to foster a discovery mindset in children early. As working parents ourselves, we understand the realities of professional life and the relief of leaving your children in safe, caring hands that can help them grow. We offer a seamless learning journey from 15 months to 6 years. Our children have gone on to join CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and IB boards. This is because we prepare children for the world, not for a board.

Founded by Educators and Parents:
We are not a franchise or a large chain. As parents ourselves, we built the school we wanted for our own child. Every decision- from curriculum to class sizes- is made with children and families at the centre.
Founding Team
Parvati Menon
Parvati has spent her career working to improve education across classrooms, schools, and education systems. Her experience spans Teach For India, the Government of Kerala, the University of Leeds (UK), and LEAD, where she worked as an educator, curriculum designer, and teacher trainer. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from Columbia University and has completed coursework at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Krish Sreedevi
Krish has spent over a decade working in education. He previously served as Head of Product Management at Tata ClassEdge and is a Visiting Faculty member at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. His journey in education began while working with the United Nations Academic Impact initiative, where he witnessed the transformative power of education. Krish holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from New York University and a Master’s degree in Education from Harvard University.
Tejaswini Menon
Tejaswini, the SouthIndianStoryteller, is an educator, storyteller, and researcher who brings creativity and imagination into every aspect of learning. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Storytelling from East Tennessee State University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Education at the University of Nevada, Reno. Her work explores how stories, movement, and creative expression shape learning and development.

Dr. Aditya Nair
Real-life Rocket Scientist
Aditya Nair is an Assistant Professor in the Aerospace Program at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is the faculty advisor to the UNR Aerospace space and also leads the Fluid Dynamics Group at the university, where he develops computational and data-driven frameworks for understanding, modelling, and controlling complex fluid flows.
Aditya is a patron of the school. He is also the first speaker at The School of Discover, where he taught our students about gravity and the science behind bubbles!

Located in Akshayanagar on Begur-Hulimavu Road, The School of Discovery serves families from Begur, Hulimavu, Arekere, Bommanahalli, Bannerghatta Road, Yelenahalli and surrounding neighbourhoods across South Bengaluru.
We offer Playgroup, Nursery, LKG, UKG and Daycare programs for children aged 15 months to 6 years.
